This year’s Pitchin’ for a Purpose cornhole tournament will be held on Saturday May 9th at the Burlington International Airport. We need you there and here’s why you should register today…
- All the funds raised will go to support Lund’s work to help children and parents reach their full potential as individuals and members of the community. This event raised over $100,000 last year! Your participation directly helps your Vermont neighbors.
If that’s all the convincing you need….click here to register.
- It’s fun! Everyone can play cornhole and there is nothing better than getting that bag through that hole or seeing your bag knock your opponent’s off the board.
- There lots more than just cornhole – a silent auction, music, kids’ activities, corn hole skills games….and more
- Celebrate spring! This winter has been up and down, cold and strangely warm, icy/rainy/snowy/slushy all at once. Won’t you be ready to get outside and play by May 9th?
- Meet excellent people – players, volunteers, Lund staff members, Lund supporters, cornhole enthusiasts. They will all be there!
- The timing is perfect. You can fit in your early morning yoga class or coffee date before the tournament and be wrapped up in time for the afternoon baseball game.
- Can your team knock the reigning champs from the top spot? Is it time for team ‘Slide it In’ to slide on out? 🙂 Or come and cheer them on for their hat trick.
- The food and drink are going to be amazing. A pig roast from The Mad Taco and brews from Fiddlehead.
- There are more ways to win…..come up with the best ‘corny’ team name, or raise the most money or design the best team T-shirt and you can win a prize!
- This is Lund’s 130th year of providing solace, safety, help, and hope to the people who need it most. One of the earliest fund raising events was a ‘silver tea’, also held in May, that raised $1.62. I am sure that the silver tea was a delightful time but I think this cornhole tournament will be a lot more fun and I know for sure that we can blow that fundraising total right out of the water!
