Your adoption journey with Lund does not end with finalization in the courtroom. We’re here as long as you need us.
We understand that building a family takes ongoing work and commitment, so we will support your family for as long as you need us, to help ensure the wellbeing of your new family.
Through our experience with thousands of adoptive families, we’ve learned that the joys, challenges, and emotional intensity of adoption don’t end with the completion of the legal process. This is especially true for children who have different physical, emotional, or developmental needs, and for those who have been in foster care for many years before finding a forever family.
Our ongoing support services to adoptive and guardianship families, sometimes called Post Permanence or Post Adoption Support, can include:
- Parenting skills development
- Counseling referrals
- Trauma-informed support
- Adoption advocacy with teachers and school administrators
- Help accessing financial resources available to adoptive families
- Behavioral consultation
Who can participate? Adoptive or guardianship families parenting children up to age 18 in the Burlington, Middlebury, Brattleboro, Springfield, Newport, and Rutland service areas. Services are free, regardless of insurance.
When you choose adoption services through Lund, we help you create your family, and then we are your family — for life.
