Over 60 teams, more than 200 players, and countless spectators and volunteers attended the Pitchin’ for a Purpose Cornhole Tournament presented by NorthCountry Federal Credit Union this past Saturday at the Burlington International Airport. It was a great success! The competition was fierce, with many teams keeping close eye on the brackets to see how far they would progress. The tournament was won by Team “Slide It In” after a very close game with Team “Swag” who came all the way from Saranac Lake. Team “Hoehl in One” won the prize for the team who raised the most most money and Cara Montague won the prize for the individual who raised the most money. The team from Lund’s Early Childhood Education Program won the best T shirt competition with shirts decorated by children at the program.
