We are pleased to announce that Katherine Boise has been selected as a Congressional Angel in Adoption Honoree for the State of Vermont for 2026. CCAI’s Angels in Adoption® Leadership Program recognizes a wide spectrum of individuals and organizations making extraordinary contributions in adoption, permanency, and child welfare. Katherine will be honored at a Gala in Washington, DC, in September.
Katherine has dedicated more than 13 years to supporting adoptive and guardianship families through Post Permanency Services. She is recognized for her deep expertise in permanency, trauma-informed care, and family-centered practice, as well as her unwavering commitment to helping children, youth, and caregivers thrive. Through her collaborative work with community partners and child welfare professionals, Katherine helps ensure families receive compassionate, coordinated support tailored to their unique needs.
Over the past year, Katherine has expanded her work with older youth, focusing on the critical transition to adulthood while nurturing caregiver–youth relationships. This work not only changes lives but also serves as a model for providers across Vermont. Her approach is rooted in transparency, respect, and a strength-based philosophy that allows her to build meaningful, trusting relationships—even with families who have struggled to trust systems in the past. Families and community partners consistently speak to the trust she builds and the meaningful progress they experience because of her work.
Katherine Boise embodies what it means to serve with heart, integrity, and dedication. Join us in congratulating Katherine on this well-deserved honor!
