Thank YOU for everything you do for Lund.
We are so very lucky to have unbelievably generous community supporters, hard working volunteers, insightful and compassionate board members, articulate community advocates, community collaborators who share our vision, staff members who never give up, and families who take incredibly brave and difficult steps to change their lives.
During Lund’s past year…
- 329 children were adopted into their forever families
- 190 parents, caregivers and children received post adoption support to ensure that their families are healthy, safe, and thriving
- 143 moms and 69 dads engaged in outpatient treatment for substance use disorder
- 74 moms and their 70 children lived at Lund’s residential program and engaged in treatment, parenting education, job training, high school, and other activities to build bright futures
- 6 student moms graduated from high school
- 108 children were able to play, read, snuggle and visit with their incarcerated moms in the child friendly Kids-A-Part visiting room inside the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility
- 71 children attended Lund’s 5 star early childhood education program. 55% of them attended at no cost to their families
All this happened because of YOU. If that doesn’t deserve a thumbs up, I don’t know what does! Thank you.
And there was so much more that we cannot put numbers or percentages to. Lives were changed, babies took their first steps, children and teenagers met the adults who will become their parents in the next year, moms started college, dads got jobs, caregivers grew more confident in parenting the children who had come into their lives. Paperwork was filed, paths were shoveled, walls were painted, donations were sorted, bills were paid, staff members completed licensing requirements, meals were shared – life ticked on and life leapt on. Love, empathy, respect and hope underpinned it all.
Thank you for all you do for Lund.
We invite you to support Lund again today on Giving Tuesday by making a gift here. And stay tuned for our Annual Report coming soon in which you can learn more about how you helped in 2018.
