This year’s JOY Drive has left us grateful for the outpouring of generosity from this incredible community. With over 1600 gifts donated, reaching 400+ individuals—100 more than the previous year—we have witnessed the true power of collective compassion. This year we partnered with over 50 organizations, individuals, and families to make this holiday season exceptionally special.
This year marked the rebranding of our holiday gift-giving campaign to JOY Drive, symbolizing the understanding that donations go beyond mere gifts; they are spreading joy and warmth to children and families in our community who need it the most.
Your Support in Action
The impact of your support is tangible and heartfelt. Aleda Boomhower, one of our outpatient clinicians, shared her touching experience with JOY Drive. “JOY Drive provides gifts, but more than that, it provides hope and allows our clients to feel seen and valued by our community. It connects those most in need with members of the Lund community who want to help. Thank you for walking beside our clients on their journey to health and wholeness for themselves.”
Partner Highlight: Vermont Comedy Club
One of our wonderful partners this year was the Vermont Comedy Club. Their participation included a beautiful giving tree display adorned with snowflakes, each containing wants and needs for our client families. Staff, patrons, and comedians enthusiastically participated in fulfilling these wishes, creating moments of joy and connection.
Bonnie Hiliadis, Vermont Comedy Club’s Marketing Manager, shared, “Vermont Comedy Club is always eager to amplify Lund’s community-driven efforts as their services and support to families deeply align with our values of accessibility for all, striving to nurture and develop a strong community. We’re honored to continue to partner with an incredible organization like Lund year after year; it is always a high point for the comedy community to participate in making the holidays a little brighter. After 12 years of hosting a drive, we always look forward to it and aim to develop further partnership opportunities for years to come!”
Whether you donated time, gifts, or money this holiday season, know that your support does not go unnoticed. You’re helping to build a stronger and more resilient community and touching lives beyond measure.
