Amie Baker is one of two Employees of the Quarter for the most recent quarter! Amie is an RPP Case Manager located at the Burlington DCF office.
Amie takes pride in her work and is always striving to improve her work performance. Due to outstanding work experience in this field, and many years of professional wisdom, Amie is skilled at anticipating problems before they occur. She is able to communicate with staff members, clients, and agency partners to find healthy solutions.
Amie volunteers to train new RPP case managers; she goes to their work sites, shadows them and shows them how home visit should be done, teaches them what are the key questions that need to be addressed and also helps them with the ongoing paperwork training. Amie advocates fiercely for the clients she works with and will go beyond what is expected from her job to support them – staying with a client through the admission process to a treatment program to ensure the transition was smooth despite it being the end of the day and she still faced a two hour drive home; or helping someone resistant to any sort of help step by very small step to get them to complete an assessment and engage in treatment.
Amie is an extremely valuable team player and celebrates everyone’s individual success as imperative to group success. Amie is extremely detailed oriented and accurate in everything she does. She offers ideas to solve problems based on good information and sound judgment. She is constantly researching and seeking the counsel of experts to gather information needed in making actual decisions which will improve the lives of her clients. Amie displays initiative and enthusiasm during every day work. She inspires others around her to do better! Amie never shies away from taking on additional tasks and has such passion and commitment not only to her colleagues and the Regional Partnership Program but to Lund as well. Congratulations Amie on being awarded the Employee of the Quarter Award.
