Burlington, VT – Mary Burns announced today that she will be departing Lund after two years with the organization. The Board of Trustees accepted her resignation and thanks her for her dedicated service at a critical time for the 134-year-old organization. The Board has appointed Ken Schatz as interim CEO.
“These past two years have been incredibly rewarding, and it has been an honor to contribute to Lund’s legacy,” said Burns. “I am proud of our achievements and am excited to witness Lund’s continued growth in providing services that offer hope and opportunity to children and families.”
“On behalf of the Board, we want to thank Mary for her service and we wish her well in her next chapter,” shared Maurine Gilbert, Board Chair. “Lund is an incredible place because of our dedicated staff who care for the children and families who depend on us; and because of Lund’s strong partnerships in the community.”
Ken Schatz will serve until a long-term CEO is hired. The Board plans to start the search for the next CEO this summer.
