At Lund, we are very fortunate to have a dedicated, talented, and experienced Board of Trustees. They work hard every day on Lund’s behalf and bring their personal testimony and business acumen to their positions at Lund. We are grateful every day for their commitment to and passion for Lund’s mission.
July 1st saw the start of a new fiscal year at Lund and so there have been changes to the Board. Firstly, we wished a fond farewell to two of our board members.
Matt Carter served on the Lund board twice. His most recent term was from 2009 to 2018. Matt was a voice of clarity and compassion in the finance committee and helped to guide Lund through times of financial uncertainty and times of bold expansion that saw the 2012 purchase and renovation of what became the Hoehl Family Building. Fellow board members appreciated Matt for his extensive financial knowledge and his sense of humor.
Barb Lande joined the board in 2006 and was a hardworking member of the Development Committee. She was a treasured asset at Lund events selling raffle tickets at the Ride for Children not minding the rain for one moment, bringing together a team for charity golf tournaments at Vermont National, and handling the silent auction everywhere from the Mad Hatters Tea Party to the Pitchin’ for a Purpose Cornhole Tournament.
Thank you very much to Matt and Barb for all you have done, and all that we know you will continue to do for Lund.
New officers were also elected. Paulette Thabault completed a successful term President of the Board during which her strategic thinking, mission focus, and thoughtful leadership were a true gift to Lund. Emily Lee, newly elected President, who previously held the position of Vice President will lead the board for a two year term.
Maria Arnold takes over from Emily as Vice President. Stephanie Miller Taylor stayed on in her role as Secretary. Cyndee Cochrane Sturtevant was elected to the position of Treasurer, taking over from Eileen Simollardes. Tom Cheney took on the role of Member at Large/Compliance Officer
We are very grateful to our retiring officers and appreciate their leadership and hard work during their terms. We look forward to the insights, expertise and vision that the board will share with Lund’s leadership team, staff and clients through their work during the upcoming year
