“National Recovery Month (Recovery Month) is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life.”
-From the National Association for Addiction Professionals website.
National Recovery Month presents an important opportunity to shine the light on the work happening at Lund, in our communities and nationwide to support people in recovery from substance use disorder or mental health conditions.
At Lund, recovery looks different for every parent and for every family but the goal is the same – help families in recovery to be safe, healthy, self sufficient, and happy. For some parents this means being connected to outpatient treatment, or engaging in parenting and child development classes, or getting help to remove barriers to employment, accessing transportation or finding affordable housing.
