Example: William and Elizabeth believe in Lund’s mission and wanted to support the important work of the organization but didn’t feel able to make a large gift. Instead they wrote a bequest to Lund into their will. They were then assured that Lund would be supported after they have passed away. After the birth of their children, William and Elizabeth reached out to their lawyer to change the terms of their bequest. Instead of leaving a fixed amount to Lund, they decided to reserve a percentage of their assets to be donated to Lund.
